Brad Cramer

Coach Brad started fencing in 2004 when he cofounded the University of West Florida Fencing club. He also became involved with fencing in the 501C3 organization the Society for Creative Anachronism where he achieved the highest recognition for fencing, the Order of Defence, in 2016.

Coach Brad was introduced to the world of classical Italian fencing through Maestro and Maestra Coblentz, regularly attending coaching clinics Rapier and Saber Pedagogy Retreat and the Sonoma State Fencing Masters Certificate Program. In 2019, he earned his instructor-at-arms with a concentration in historical fencing. In 2023, Brad earned his provost and is currently working towards his master-at-arms.

In addition to competing and coaching historical and classical fencing, Brad also competes and coaches modern fencing and runs pirate-themed kids’ activities at a beach resort complete with choreographed swordplay.
